Our Facility
This 16-bed, semi-private room facility is located on five quiet acres just outside Knoxville. A safe, secure place for women to begin the healing of deep-seated emotional wounds, JourneyPure Knoxville’s Women’s Center features a caring staff that is highly trained in trauma-informed behavioral health care and is well-versed in the logistical, physical, intellectual, and emotional needs of women.
According to the Tennessee Department of Health, the state of Tennessee has seen nearly a tenfold rise in the incidence of babies born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS), a condition where newborn babies experience withdrawal symptoms due to their mothers’ substance use during pregnancy. The highest rate of NAS births has been reported in East Tennessee.

The JourneyPure Treatment
Our treatment programs encompass a wide range of paths to achieving sobriety and wellness. We provide trauma-informed care, experiential therapy that aims to explore underlying emotional and mental health issues, and recovery-focused groups that build the skills needed for long-term sobriety.
We also specialize in drug monitoring and the treatment of mental health issues, provide opportunities for emotional processing, and directly address depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma in transformative group settings.
It is part of the JourneyPure philosophy to meet a client on his or her terms. That said, our clients are asked upon admission to remain abstinent or commit to substantially reduce or eliminate substance use and to abide by the JourneyPure Client Rights and Responsibilities Policy. If a client is visibly intoxicated, disruptive, ill or falling asleep, they will be asked to leave for the day. A review of appropriate levels of care will be conducted and referrals made as appropriate for the client.
